I’m feeling really sad about all the mean comments on Alina
Because most of them are made by fans of medvedeva who would congratulate Alina if she didn’t beat her at the short program.
Yes medvedeva is more artistic and fluid, but Alina is an amazing jumper, and her progress during this season is astonishing.
She used to miss almost all of her jumps, in this program particularly. But now she can do them so confidently. She also worked a lot on her fluidity. Watch this program at the beginning of the season and now. You’ll see how much she improved.
And she did all of that with the constant pressure of Etteri who didn’t even bother to sit with her on the kiss and cry during the season but did with medvedeva.
She is one of the toughest skater you can find. And she is 15. She wasn’t as loved as medvedeva. By her coach and by the public. Which must have been extremely hard, especially at her age.
Alina deserve her score. And if she put an another amazing performance on her free program, then she deserved the gold. End of story.
